The Hen who wanted to lay easter eggs. |

Once upon a time
there was a hen who wanted to lay Easter eggs. It was very sad. |
| It dreamt of chocolate eggs at night
and during the day too. So, one morning it had an idea. |
 |

It swallowed a bar of
chocolate thinking it would lay chocolate eggs. Alas, the egg which came out was as true as nature and the little hen was SO disappointed. |
| The next day, it ate a lot of chocolate. The
pieces were bigger than it. Alas, two times alas, the egg which came out was a true egg again. The little hen was so sad. It went to tell its problem to the farmer and the man felt very touched by this story. |

At night fall, the farmer went
in the hen-house and began to paint the hen’s eggs with chocolate. He wrapped them in a bright paper and slipped them under the hen’s legs. |
| The little hen was amazed in the morning, on
waking up when it saw the chocolate eggs. It was so proud, that it went out of the hen house to show to the other animals what it succeded in doing. |
