I can hear a tiny voice

At wun tahm, a little owd lass med a gingerbreead man for a treeat.

Shu put im in t'oven to bake, but sooin shu uhd a tiny voice skriking, "Elp! Let me aht!"

So shu oppened t'oven dooar.

T'little gingerbreead man shot aht o t'oven and freetened t'little old lass ...


onnyrooad, shu traahd to cop im.

But t'gingerbreead fella wor too wick.

 
Ee sped up t'road singin,

I can't catch him

I'm too fast

"Run, run as fast as tha can.


Tha'll nooan cop me,


Ah'm t'gingerbreead man."

Soon t'gingerbreead man met up wi a coo.


"Ey up, little fella! Tha looaks good enough t'eat," mooed t'coo.


T'gingerbread man wor too wick.


Ee sped away singin...

The cow can't catch me.

"Run, run as fast as tha can.
Tha'll nooan cop me ... Ah'm t'gingerbreead man."

Neigh Fotha dahn t'rooad t'gingerbreead man met up wi an oss.


"Nah then, little fella! Ah want t'eeat thee," neighed t'oss ungrily.


But t'gingerbreead man wor too wick.

 
Ee sped away singin...

"Run, run as fast as tha can.
Tha'll nooan cop me ... Ah'm t'gingerbreead man."

T'gingerbreead man ran faster and faster and ee wor reight prahd on is runnin.

Then he met up wi a cunnin owd fox.


"Ang on, little fella, Ah want ter kall wi thee!" smiled t'fox.


But t'gingerbreead man sped away singin...

I want to talk to you.

"Run, run as fast as tha can.
Tha'll nooan cop me ... Ah'm t'gingerbreead man."

Here's the river

Soon t'two on em cem to a river.

T'fox said "Ah'll help thee cross t'river.

Op onter mi tail."


So, t'little gingerbreead man did.

 

After a bit t'fox sed, "Tha's ovver evvy fer mi rigg.

Jump onter
mi neb."

So t'little gingerbreead man did.
