were walking through the forest when their mobiles started to ring at the same time.
The message was very clear: SOS, let's save the Gnomes of Europe. The European Union according to the law 3001.3 part g), wants all of us to be Euro-Gnomes. What can you do about it, Catalan gnomes? |

Very quickly, all the gnomes in
Catalonia set up an urgent meeting in the NOU CAMP in BARCELONA. A huge number of gnomes
attended the meeting. Of course, it was an important affair.

| The Nou Camp has a
capacity of 110,000 seats and each seat was occupied by 3 Catalan gnomes. In total there were 330,000 gnomes, nearly all the Catalan gnomes were there. |

On the main door, there was an
enormous ballot box, guarded by two MOSSOS d'ESQUADRA GNOMES (Catalan police). Every gnome must vote whether he wanted to be a Euro-Gnome or not. |
| While the voting
continued, the gnomes were waiting in their seats. After quite a lot of time and feeling a bit nervous about the results, they knew the final decision. |

The Catalan gnome's President,
Mr. Jordi Gnome Pujol, was in charge of saying the results. The answer was: NO!!, everybody voted they want to be Catalan gnomes and keep their identity. |
| Immediately they
started to phone all the other gnomes around Europe. All of them together decided to go to Brussels and to organise a big protest. |

The massive meeting was very successful and because of it the
European Parliament decided to change the law.
The new law was the following one:
