Lots of Catalans feel really surprised when travelling all over Europe. They see lots of pictures of Saint George in some streets, squares and buildings. They also discover that the white and red flag also appears in lots of country flags and shields around Europe.

All over Europe Saint George's Day is celebrated on the same day of spring, on April the 23rd.

All Europeans seem to like this brave knight. Saint George is the patron saint of many different countries and cities too.

Saint George is an authentic European emblem, a symbol that joins and unites very different villages.

For this reason a very exciting idea has been recently suggested: to celebrate Saint George all over Europe as a common spring festivity
The World Book Day.

Saint George will be celbrated all over Europe.

In many streets and squares all over Europe’s villages Saint George's Day will stir Europe’s heart.
