Once upon a time there
was a boy so tiny their parents called him Patufet (very little). One day his mother said: 'Patufet: Go to the grocer's and buy some saffron please'. Patufet said goodbye to his mummy and off he went. |
| When he arrived to the grocer's he had
to shout very loud to the shop keeper. 'Hey, it's me! I'm here ! I want some saffron please!' He was so tiny, the shop keeper nearly didn't see him. |

But Patufet, who was very brave, came
back home with the saffron for his mummy and she was so happy to have such a wonderful
child that she asked him 'Now Patufet, would you like to go to the forest and take the meal to daddy? And Patufet of course answered ' Yes, mummy!'He took a heavy basket with daddy's meal and away he went. |
| But on the way to the forest it started to rain and Patufet decided to wait for the rain to stop under a cabbage. A hungry cow was near there . The cow decided to eat that cabbage and because Patufet was so tiny it didn't notice he was under it. So the cow ate Patufet as well. |

Later on, Patufet parent's noticed he
was lost and started to look for him shouting everywhere: 'Patufet, where are you?' Finally they heard a tiny voice: 'I'm in this cow's tummy, here it's not raining but sunny!' Patufet's parents started to feed the cow. |
| The cow grew fatter and fatter and
fatter until it exploded and away went Patufet! And that's all. |
