There were once three little pigs that grew so much that their Mum told them they had to find a place to live for themselves. On their way, the first little pig came across a man with some straw.

The House of Straw

"Please can I have some straw?" said the first little pig.

The man said, "yes," and gave the pig some straw.

Then he went off and built himself a house of straw.

"Now the wolf won’t get me," he thought.

The second little pig met a man with some sticks.

The second pig said, " Can I have some sticks to build my house?".

The man said, "yes". So off went the second little pig to build his house. He thought it was a fine house and the wolf would never get him.

The House of Sticks

The House of Brick

The third little pig carried on down the road and came to a man with some bricks.

He said, "Please can I have some of those bricks?"

So the man gave the third little pig some bricks and the pig staggered off to the first bit of land he could find.

It took him a long time, for it was a very strong house.

Later that day the wolf was walking down the road when he spotted the house of straw. So he shouted through the letterbox, "Little pig, little pig, let me come in."

The first little pig was very frightened. He said, "No, no, no, by the hair of my chinny chin, chin, I will not let you in."

"Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in," said the wolf.

The wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house in, then gobbled up the first little pig.

The next day the wolf went to the house of sticks. He knocked on the door and said, "Little pig, little pig, let me come in."

"No, no, no, by the hair of my chinny chin, chin, I will not let you in."

The wolf said, "Well then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in."

Collecting turnips

So he huffed and he puffed and he blew the house in, and gobbled up the second little pig.

Collecting apples The next day the wolf went to the third little pig’s house and knocked on the door.

"Little pig, little pig, let me come in."

"No, no, no, by the hair of my chinny chin, chin, I will not let you in." said the third little pig.

"Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in."

But the wolf couldn’t blow the house of bricks down.

The wolf was very angry, but he didn’t let the little pig know.

The wolf pretended to be the pig’s friend. "Little pig if you’ll be ready at 6am I will take you to Farmer Smith’s farm to get some turnips.
But the third little pig was too clever for the wolf.

So he went to Farmer Smith’s field at 5am.

At 6.00 in the morning there was a knock at the door and the wolf said, "Little pig, are you ready to go and pick some turnips?"

"Oh!" cried the little pig, "I’ve already been and filled my basket."

At the fair
The wolf was very cross but he didn’t want the third little pig to know. He said, "Little pig, if you are ready at 5 O’clock I will take you to Farmer Brown’s field to pick apples."

The third pig knew it was a trick so he got up at 4 o’clock in the morning and went to pick apples.

He was sitting in an apple tree when he saw the wolf coming down the road. "Here, have an apple, Mr Wolf," said the third little pig. He threw an apple onto the road and the wolf chased after it. The third little pig jumped down from the tree and ran all the way home.

Bye Wolf The wolf was now VERY angry but he didn’t let the little pig know. He knocked on the door one more time and said, "Meet me tomorrow at four o’clock and we’ll go to the fair and have lots of fun."

So the next day the third little pig set off to the fair at 2 o’clock. That day he won a butter churn.

As the third little pig was rolling the butter churn home, he noticed the wolf coming up the hill. The third little pig was very frightened.

He jumped into the butter churn and rolled down the hill, faster and faster. The wolf was taken by surprise as the butter churn knocked him over.

The wolf was furious. He knocked once more on the little pig’s door and said, "Little pig, I am going to climb down your chimney and eat you up."

The pig was frightened. He did not answer. He went to the kitchen and got a pot full of boiling water and put it on th efire. The wolf climbed down the chimney, and SPLASH. That was the end of the big, bad wolf.
