For Teachers

Most of our stories are written in two languages.  They have been chosen to include as much repetition as possible ... this makes the 'foreign' version easier to read. To access these stories in either language, click on the 'page' icon. Two of the stories from England (The Lampton Worm and the Gingerbread Man) have been written in 'dialect'.

It's fun getting children to look at the different languages. It is surprising how quickly they can work out some of the vocabulary for themselves.

Each story comes with a 'blank' set of text boxes accompanied by the illustrations, so if you would like your children to tell one of the stories in YOUR language, you can write away happily by clicking on the 'tools' icon. Tools icon

Ici      Click on Ici for a 'quiz'

We have written a special quiz for each of the stories. These are in English. These are multiple choice selections which test the children's understanding of the stories. You can find these by clicking on 'Ici' our dog .... if you can catch him.

In the 'About Us' section we have included information and pictures about our schools. We would be very happy to hear from any other school who would like to contribute a story to the site .... you could volunteer by leaving your email address in the Guestbook.

We wrote these stories because we are proud of our culture, traditions and language. We wish our children to grow up valuing the friendship of children from other countries. We wish them to become citizens not just of Europe, but of the World.
