Mr. Snow man flew swiftly across the Irish Sea
and looked down and saw Schull Harbour with lots of boats tied up at the pier. This place looks interesting he thought, I must go down and explore. He landed in the playground near the pier. |
| "Anyone here!" he called out again and again but no one answered. It was six o clock in the morning and everyone in Schull seemed to be asleep. "Ill have a go on the swings first" he said to himself. Soon he was swinging high in the air. Next he went on the slide. It felt cool. Then he hopped on the roundabout. It went faster and faster. Mr. Snowman felt dizzy and fainted. | ![]() |

"Who is he? What is he? Is he dead? Mr Snowman heard voices. He opened his eyes and saw four children standing over him. "Who are you and where do you come from?" the children asked. "Im Mr. Snowman and Ive come from the Pyrenees Mountains in the north of Spain" he replied. "From Spain" the children shouted, full of excitement. "How did you get here?" they asked Mr. Snowman. "I flew here" he replied. "A flying snowman! Wow!" shouted the children. |
The children introduced themselves as Aidan, Liam, Molly and Cristín and told Mr. Snowman that they were all pupils of Scoil Mhuire N.S. Mr. Snowman asked to be taken on a cruise in a boat, and so Aidan got his dad to take Mr. Snowman and the four children on a trip around Schull Harbour. "This is magic" said Mr. Snowman, with seagulls flying around his head, "Im having a super adventure!" |

Just then a crowd appeared on the pier to
welcome Mr. Snowman and the children. However, Mr. Snowman was too shy to stay and talk
and said he had to be on his way. So he jumped up and flew high, high into the sky.
Everyone in the pier clapped and waved as Mr. Snowman set off to continue his
adventure
