A long time ago, there was a place called Cantre’r Gwaelod.

King Gwyddno lived there. He worried that cantre’r Gwaelod was .
So the walls had to be well guarded, and the gates closed, in
.

The king asked Seithenyn to take care of the wall, and to make certain that the gates were during a storm

There was to be at, the palace, and many people were invited.

Seithenyn dreamt about going there. But he had to .

He decided to go to the feast and to ask two soldiers to look after the wall.

Seithenyn went to the feast and sat in a dark corner, enjoying himself.

There was a terrible storm. The soldiers ran to but the water was already coming through.

Gwyddno realised that something had gone terribly wrong. He went searching for Seithenyn and found him .

The high waves had broken through the gates ------- it was too late!

The people and the houses disappeared.
The farms and the animals disappeared.
The walls and the towers disappeared.
Cantre’r Gwaelod disappeared.

If you go to Cardigan Bay on a fine summer’s evening, listen  to the sound of the sea and the waves. You might even hear the sound of from the water!

I wonder what happens next?
